FIFA 22 is probably the highlight of the sale that scored 8 points in our evaluation earlier this year. Sure, FIFA 22 doesn't change much compared to FIFA 22, and we aren't thrilled with the microtransactions included in Ultimate Team mode, but the soccer is fun and the matches are fast-paced and the player animations look stunning through EA's HyperMotion technology.

As for Madden NFL 22, we gave it a 7 in our review and declared it "a recent high mark for the series" thanks to better and more diverse AI teams, brand new features such as Gameday Atmosphere and Gameday Momentum and a completely revamped Franchise mode that makes game's downtime more interesting than the previous year's game.

We did not review NBA 2K22 or NHL 22 in particular, but both games picked good reviews from the media this year. NBA 2K22 currently has a Metacritic score of 78, and the overall response is that the game's gameplay is excellent but held back by microtransactions and technical issues for some of the modes.

NHL 22, on the however, was received not as well, with an average score of rating of 71 on Metacritic. As we noted in our review of NHL 22, most critics are high on the hockey however, they are not as enthusiastic about the lack of creativity. The switch towards EA's Frostbite engine offers NHL 22 an improved visual experience over previous versions, but it's not the same.
